Free 2U this Saturday

// November 22nd, 2011 // Comments Off // Events, News

We have one of our occasional Free 2U events coming up this Sat (26th) between 10am and 12. For those of you not in the know, it’s exactly the same as a jumble sale, but without having to scrabble around for £1.27 for that DVD that little Jonny absolutely must have for Christmas.

That’s right, we give everything away free. Why?

Because we believe in a generous God who wants to meet people at their point of need, whether it’s a physical, financial, mental or spiritual need. He displays this in so many ways to us as Christians, most of all in the giving of his only Son which we remember at Christmas, when we think about him coming as a baby and then at Easter, when we remember him dying for our sins on the cross and coming to life again so we also can have new life through Him.
We believe everything we have is a gift from God and we want to share what we have with those around us to show God’s love for them. Our aim as a church is ‘to serve the community for Christ’ and by giving things away this is just one way we hope to do that.because God gives us so many good things it really
